FAQ
WHat kinds of patients do you Treat?
I accept patients ages 16 and older with everything from anxiety, depression and bipolar disorder to attention deficit disorder, struggles with addiction, eating disorders, and difficulty coping with life stressors. I also treat patients who struggle with relationship issues or complain of difficulty sleeping. I work with each individual to find solutions that suit their unique needs.
What can i expect from my first session?
I will use the initial comprehensive psychiatric evaluation to determine your needs, understand your expectations, and ensure that I am able to provide the services necessary to assist you on your path to wellness. The initial consultation will last between 60 to 90 minutes. I will then provide you with my thoughts on your needs and make recommendations for treatment. If after the initial consultation, I feel that I cannot provide the services that you need, I will make every effort to guide you with appropriate recommendations.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
I ask patients to cancel or reschedule appointments with 48-hour notice. If patients do not come to scheduled appointments or cancel within 48 hours, I bill patients the full fee of the visit. Please keep in mind that late cancellations and no shows mean that I cannot see patients during that time slot. I know that juggling appointments can be challenging and I try to be as flexible with scheduling as possible. Please call or text me if you are running late or get lost.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
My office is conveniently located in close proximity to Wall Street, and is easily accessible by subway and the PATH train.
ARE YOU AVAILABLE OUTSIDE OF OFFICE HOURS?
I make every effort to be available to my patients between sessions and outside of office hours. I am accessible via email and will answer an email within 24 hours of receiving it. I can also be reached via Whats App for medication related queries and will answer those within 24 hours. If you are in crisis or need immediate assistance, I urge you to call 911 or the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255.
